  19. <p>     By writing a children's book about the operatic heroine
  20. Aida, a role she often sang, Leontyne Price hoped to get young
  21. people "reading and understanding the classics." Illustrated
  22. by Leo and Diane Dillon, her story of the captive Ethiopian
  23. princess was published last week and, says the diva, in many
  24. ways is "a love letter to myself." Each time she rereads it,
  25. she feels "as if I'm back in the opera house performing."
  26. Price's literary career will have a second act. Her
  27. autobiography, she promises, will tell all.
